The Office of the Registrar serves as the official repository for all student academic records. It is also responsible for the oversight of all registration and enrollment services provided to our students. The Registrar’s Office also processes transcript requests and enrollment verification, and fulfills many other types of requests for student information.  The Registrar certifies graduation and program completion, issues diplomas, and sets and upholds academic policy.

Commencement is Tentatively Scheduled for May 6th, 2023.

Participating In Commencement (Page 54)
All Students must complete all graduation requirements (credit hours and requirements) to participate in the commencement ceremony and activities. No exceptions. EWU holds one formal graduation ceremony after the Spring Semester. However, degrees are conferred in each term once the student has completed all requirements and paid fees. (Page 54)

 Graduation Honors (Page 56)

To be considered for honors at graduation, a baccalaureate candidate must have completed at least 90 credit hours of graded coursework at EWU and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for all graded course-work earned at EWU. Students transferring from other institutions must be required to submit all their grades. Transfer students and EWU students who have postsecondary work elsewhere must have an overall GPA of 3.00 or higher counting all EWU courses as well as transferable work attempted at other institutions. The academic distinction is conferred at graduation upon deserving students who have achieved the following cumulative GPA’s:

 

***All course work taken at prior University(s) are considered in honor evaluation process. No Letter grade(s) lower than (C) are permitted. Grades of (D or F) received at any timeframe during a students academic history at (EWU) and during any term of attendance at all prior University(s) attended, automatically disqualifies a student from being considered for any honors designation.
