Residence Halls at EWU

A Welcoming On-Campus Living Experience

Edward Waters Universities Residence Life and Housing program is an integral part of the student experience at EWU. Our residence life program extends housing for all full-time (12 credit hours) enrolled EWU students who choose to reside on campus. Because of the positive outcomes produced by the campus residential experience, all First Time Students are encouraged to live on campus until they obtain Sophomore classification status (some exemptions apply).

Within EWU’s 6 residential locations; Blue Honors Village, Morris Cone A, Morris Cone B, Richardson Hall, Salter Hall, and Ted Baker Apartments we provide a diverse residential community that fosters a positive environment that is balanced with learning, diversity, and convenience.

Comfortable Rooms & Modern Amenities

Every room is fully furnished with an extra-long twin-sized bed, dresser, desk, chair, closet or wardrobe, wireless internet, and wiring for cable television. Additionally, each resident is provided with an amenity package that includes vending, study rooms, computer labs, internet connectivity, utilities, and multipurpose rooms.

Convenient Campus Locations

All residence halls are centrally located within a five-ten minute walking distance to all academic and recreational facilities.

Building a Respectful Residential Community

Residence halls are communities. The students who reside on campus accept the rights and responsibilities associated with communal living. More specifically, Edward Waters University believes that students, by agreeing to live on campus, consent to certain roommate rights, including the right to sleep undisturbed in one’s room and its facilities without pressure or interference from roommates, and to personal privacy.

At EWU, students who live in the residences are required to abide by the established community policy on visitation and cohabitation. Civil laws, too, may have an impact on how students live in their environment.

Roommate & Suitemate Expectations

Roommates and suitemates should always discuss the rules that will govern how they will operate within the room or suite during the first week of their move-in. Agreements should be reviewed periodically by the residents of the room. These agreements may be found with your Hall Management team or the RLH Office for your use. You may also request that your Hall Management facilitate the development of your roommate/suitemate agreement to ensure the fairness of the process.

Visitor Guidelines & Community Standards

Visitors may not infringe on the rights of other residents or guests to study, sleep, or socialize in their room, suite, or building. In support of the teachings of Christian values and our institution mission, we are committed to providing a holistic moral education. Therefore, we do not condone the following in the residence hall: co-habitation, exploitive relationships, daytime or overnight visitors/residents involved in sexual intimacy.
