Mr. James Richardson ’02 of Edward Waters College earned a Bachelor of Organizational Management. Mr. Richardson received his Master of Business Administration from Florida Metropolitan University and completed his Associate Degree work in General Studies from Central Texas College, Killeen, TX.

Mr. Richardson is a retired United States Army Veteran. During his twenty-four years of service, he served as a Senior Chemical Operation Sergeant, Logistical Analysis Specialist, Computer Network Systems Installer, and a Senior Manager over three diverse areas which included personnel, maintenance, and training management. Mr. Richardson is an 8-time recipient of the Army Good Conduct medal, 5-time recipient of the Meritorious Service medal, and a 3-time recipient of the Army Achievement medal. He also noted that he maintained a Top-Secret Clearance throughout his military career, and lead several successful missions during Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch and Uphold Democracy.

In his professional career, James worked as a Federal Program Grant Evaluator and Consultant, Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Program, and an Administrator with the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services. He also worked with the Duval County Charter School System. He is a Certified Manager through the Institute of Certified Professional Management at James Madison University and a Certified Mental Health Professional with the Florida Certification Board.

James is a devoted supporter of Edward Waters College and an active member with the Jacksonville Alumni Chapter where he served as President. He is currently serving a second tenure as Alumni Advisor for the Pre-Alumni Council.
