Giving, Edward Waters University

Wow, what a year!

Kudos and congratulations to the historic graduating Class of 2023 which included the University’s first-ever conferred Masters Degrees! Twenty-three of the 133 graduates earned their Masters of Business Administration degree officially making Edward Waters University (EWU) a Graduate degree awarding institution! And we are not done!

Come Fall 2023, EWU will add two additional graduate degree programs, Master of Cyber Security and Master of Public Administration along with six new Bachelor of Science degrees in the areas of Forensic Science, Computer and Information Science, Social Work, Accounting, Public Health and Sports Management brining EWU’s degree programs to fifteen, nearly doubling its academic programs in the last five years! As you can see, we are committed to transforming our students and awakening their undiscovered potential!

As we conclude a year that has yielded significant growth and transformation, we must think about our future and the continued progress needed for our dear ole’ Edward Waters. Thanks to the collective support of loyal alumni, corporate partners and other friends of EWU, the University has been able to provide critical resources to students and address other areas of significant need. But, the need remains great! It is important that we create a sustainable and robust pipeline of funding for EWU hence why I am asking you to consider making a gift to the university’s End of Year giving campaign to celebrate the successful closeout of the 2022-23 academic year!

Your gift will support efforts to improve the overall educational experience for students by providing much needed funding to complete projects targeted at academic and athletic pursuits as well as the completion of welcoming and working spaces for students and faculty.

The institution has made demonstrable strides in improving and enhancing its capital infrastructure through various renovations and new construction projects including the following: completion of the university’s on-campus stadium, full renovation of the campus’s largest student residence facility, renovation of the campus biology laboratory, completed construction of a brand new wellness facility, installation of new multi-million dollar campus fencing, and a near completion of an over million dollar renovation of the campus’s main academic building (Hatcher-Stewart Science and Mathematics Building), which will re-open with new flooring, windows, a new faculty lounge, new lighting, paint, and new furniture in selected instructional areas, for example!

Again, we are getting things done and making things happen but imagine what more we could accomplish with your support! Please consider making a gift in honor of this historic academic year and help us jump start the 2023-24 year which is sure to be filled with continued success and Emerging Eminence. We thank you in advance for your support and commitment to EWU, now let’s get to work!

With Tiger Love!
