JACKSONVILLE, FL – February 22, 2024 – Edward Waters University (EWU) is proud to announce its participation in the 2024 Home Depot RETOOL YOUR SCHOOL (RYS) Grant Program, an initiative by Home Depot Store Support, Inc., designed to support and celebrate improvement projects at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This exciting opportunity will empower Edward Waters University to enhance its campus environment through the Campus Improvement Grant.

Edward Waters University has set its sights on revitalizing the George N. Collins Student Center, with a specific focus on the ground floor known as the “SUB” (Student Union Building). The proposed renovations aim to create a vibrant and modern space that fosters student engagement, academic success, and a sense of pride among its constituents.

To turn this vision into reality, Edward Waters University is calling on its extended community – including faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends, and the entire Jacksonville community – to rally together in support of EWU’s mission towards Emerging Eminence. The success of this initiative relies on the community’s active participation in the voting process.

The voting period for the Home Depot RETOOL YOUR SCHOOL (RYS) initiative is set to take place from February 26 to March 24, 2024.
