What: A groundbreaking ceremony for Edward Waters College (EWC) largest residence facility

When: Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

Where: On the campus of Edward Waters College. Tiger Landing is located at 1780 Pearce Street, Jacksonville, FL. Self-parking for the groundbreaking will be available at the site.

Who: Edward Waters College President/CEO, Dr. A. Zachary Faison Jr. will host the event and the City of Jacksonville Mayor, Lenny Curry will be in attendance.

Why: The planned $4.4 million dollar new construction and renovation of EWC’s largest residential facility located in the heart of Northwest Jacksonville’s New Town community, was publicly announced in 2017 as part of a funding partnership with the City of Jacksonville. The residence halls play an integral role of providing transformational experiences for EWC undergraduate students as they pursue academic success and prepare for life beyond the campus.
