Dr. Prabir K. Mandal, Professor and Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Sciences at Edward Waters College (EWC) received an invitation to the commencing colloquium on Cutting Edge Materials Research and Nanotechnology happening in Barcelona, Spain. Taking place on June 8-10, 2020, this 3-day event will focus on the latest research topics in Materials Science and Nanotechnology.

Dr. Mandal, is a full Professor of Biology that has been received numerous awards during his tenure at EWC including: The Distinguished Professor of the College; the President’s Ideal Faculty; and the President’s “WOW award” for extreme commitment and dedication, and for going above and beyond to accomplish exceptional results. Additionally, Dr. Mandal’s research at EWC is dedicated to the major health issues of minorities with special reference to African Americans.

Dr. Mandal is seriously involved in curriculum reform, mentoring and spearheading new initiatives for Allied Health education focusing on the underserved minority populations, in particular African-Americans, in the State of Florida. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Bioprocessing & Biotechniques and serves as a member of the editorial board of Journal of Environmental, World Environment, Voyager, Bionature, SDRP Journal of Microbiology & Virology, and World Research Journal of Biotechnology. Most recently, Dr. Mandal edited the book, Dioxin: Environmental Fate and Health/Ecological Consequences.
