The Black Male College Explorers Program (BMCEP) is a prevention/intervention program designed specifically for African American males grades 7th– 12th grade during the academic year and summer who are potential high school dropouts and are “at-risk” of not receiving educational experiences which allow them to function adequately in our American and in the Global societies. The program prevents black males from dropping out of high school, facilitate their admission to college and significantly increase their chances of earning a college degree.

The BMCEP is a year round program that it consists of two enriching components: Saturday Academy and Summer Institute. Saturday Academy consists of the students gathering and participating in  academic enrichment and professional development during the academic year. The Summer Institute is the summer residency program where students stay on the campus of Edward Waters College endeavor in academic enrichment, professional development, social skills, and get a “preview” of what it feels like to be a college student.

The Black Male College Explorers Program is always looking for more “Explorers”. For more information please feel free to contact us.
